For the past five and a half years, the
Negatives have become a punk rock mainstay in the southeastern
Michigan area. Based in Ortonville, the Negatives have rocked
every club in the Flint and Detroit areas. The band is heavily
influenced by acts such as the Clash, the Ramones and Bruce
Springsteen. Over the years the band has had several different
lineups, but the core has always been Robbie Badd (drums), Pat (bass)
and Dan (guitar). Last fall, five years of punk rock service
paid off with Pirates Stealing Babies, one of the best rock 'n'
roll albums of 1999. Negatives friend, Abe Hovey was part of the
lineup at the time of recording. A rock 'n' roll force.
